The South County Fund Committee was formed by Michelle Christal in April of 2006 and since then this collection of "housewives" have worked tirelessly to raise funds in support of local youth programming, food banks, and most recently The Harbor House; a domestic violence shelter in our area.

Eight local woman with a determination to try and make things just "a little better" for our community. Since 2006 the South County Fund Committee has raised over $14,000 for a food bank in the Sawyer area, our local school and of course our beloved "W"; which sadly closed in May of 2009.

Our work and efforts have proven that you do not have to be part of a huge corporation or a collective "think tank" to do some good, help out your neighbors, and give a little hope to your community.

Currently we are raising money to build a playground area at the West Branch Township Hall.
